Milestone Camera

Post by TAlbrecht »

The MNDOT cameras at ops 2 are not working with the new Windows 10 upgrade that was put on it. We have access to the security cameras, but when you try to log into MNDOT it wont log in

We just tried tonight, and were able to access both traffic and HCMC cameras. Can you explain more what you are experiencing?

It looks like the fix to this is to:

1. Let it do it's auto log in for the hospital cameras
2. Use the Logout button (the key in the upper right of the screen) to go back to the Log In
3. Select Basic Authentication first
4. Then copy/paste rtmc-milestone.dot.state.mn.us into the 'Computer' field

User name and password are still hcmc

This should let you into the MNDot cameras. If you try this and it doesn't work let Tyler know.

In the ECC we have two access points to Milestone. The Milestone cameras that are on the wall in the ECC are accessed through a stand-alone Milestone CPU located between Op3 and Op4. This machine runs Windows 10 and was just updated this past week with the new 2020R1 smart client. We also access Milestone through the HHS IT Managed Devices. The hospital's smart client is 2018R3, meaning this needs to be upgraded. According to HHS IT, this isn't a simple upgrade. HHS IT will be completing the internal system upgrade in May. Until then, the HHS IT Managed device will bring up the hospital's camera system but will not able to connect to MN State Patrol Cameras until May.
