According to the "COVID-19 Command Center Update":
Starting on Monday, April 6 at 5 am, we will screen all staff as they enter their work areas. There will be different processes depending on your work location. Our ultimate goal is to keep you, your co-workers, and our patients safe. Our main downtown/HCMC campus will have screeners at all 6 staff entry points.
As you are entering work you will be asked if you are experiencing any new symptoms below:
•Fever or chills
•Cough
•Sore throat
•Body aches
•Shortness of breath
•Loss of taste or sense of smell
•Diarrhea
If you are clear of all of these symptoms, you will be asked to verbally state: "I am free of all symptoms" and you will be cleared to go do your important work.
If you have ANY of the above symptoms, you will need further evaluation before entering work. The screeners will provide you information on the next steps. The role of the screener is to witness your statement of health and provide guidance if you are symptomatic. They are not security officers. We expect you to partner with them to make this a smooth and respectful process. While we will have screening in place, to help your leaders plan for staffing please stay home if you have symptoms and reach out to your leader from home.
