Due to the social distancing recommendations and science supporting close-contact spread of COVID-19, I recently began exploring deployment alterations that would limit double-posting stations and other situations. This exploration is done under the direction of Wade Johnson (Deputy Chief of Communications) and Mike LeVake (Interim-Deputy Chief of Operations/Deputy Chief of Special Operations).
What do we know?
Staff volumes are adequate
Call volumes are reduced
More trucks than places to put them
Where are we going?
Eliminate double-posting stations
Utilize additional new stations to fill the gaps
Continue to have constructive conversation about solutions
